We have to answer with, "There are no guaranteed safe places from what is coming - not for physical safety."

Sometimes when we hear The Word spoken, it makes more sense. That's why reading it aloud can be helpful. Here you can listen to the Bible. LOOKING FOR ANSWERS?
You may have heard Christians talking about Bible prophecy and words like "End Times". We don't feel that the world is coming to an end, simply an age is ending. From many, many years of reading New Age books, I searched for THE answer, but was always left strangely empty. Somewhere in this heap of reading had to be an answer, didn't there? Several things became very clear in all these books. We are, shortly, about to get clobbered with some very intense, very destructive events. Some will be from geophysical catastrophes, some from the sun, some from the skies as well as other life-altering factors.
The other thing that became clear is that many New Age books disagreed in what they were saying. Good grief? - whom to believe!
We have at least ten different Earth changes maps on computer and not one of them agrees with another! It is not that their authors are purposefully trying to deceive us; the information is just wrong. On these maps, if all the information were correct, the coastlines would all look the same, the same areas would be "safe" and the same landmasses would be under water or emerge from the seas. If these were wrong, what else was and again, whom do you believe?
There is only one infallible source - one that is never wrong - the Bible. Beginning with Revelation 6, you'll see we are in for a pretty hairy ride and some of the Bible's prophecy has already come to pass. Regarding the Earth changes? It's all in the Bible - and more! Pretty amazing for a dusty ole book written several thousand years ago!
THE RAPTURE
- You may also have heard Christians talk about the Rapture and "debate" when/if this will happen. When we speak of a great "catching away" we are referring to the Rapture. Scripture also tells us that it will come unexpectedly.
The Bible isn't clear on the specifics of this issue, but many of us come to the idea of Rapture from these verses:
- 1TH 4:17 - 18
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them inside clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
REV 11:12
1CO 15:51-54
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1TH 5:1-2
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
(The secrecy indicates an event different from the Second Coming as that is a widely written about event in scripture, not a "secret" event.)
- There are four general thoughts on the timing: pre-Tribulation (pre-Trib), mid-Tribulation (mid-Trib), post-Tribulation / pre-Millennial or no Rapture at all. Various interpretations of Daniel's 70th week group the judgments differently. Again, this is one of those foggy issues. We will not know the time specifically, but there are certain pointers and we are certainly bearing down on them. When will these this happen? As the Hopi say - "soon!" Here are several overviews of the 70th Week. You'll see they vary quite a bit so we encourage you to study The Word and make your own conclusions.
